Exercise 1: The Market Quadrant

After finishing this exercise, you'll have a visual representation of the market you're operating in. What other players are surrounding you? Who are your direct competitors? Are they good at certain content techniques that might inspire you? We often hear the "aaaahh... this makes so much sense now" coming from our clients and artists!

Exercise 2: The Communication Formula

The all-time classic of our agency and academy talks: the Communication Formula! With this one simple sentence, you'll be able to visually define your audience, what their emotional drivers are for feeling affinity with you as a personal brand, and what part of you it is, that they like very, very much. Kicker: you have at least 3 of these sentences for your 3 audience segments! And as a bonus, you can use this sentence as your 'Elevator Pitch' when facing that one Hot Shot A&R manager!

Exercise 3: The Content Buckets

After mapping your audiences and knowing why they would engage with you, it's time to map your core values as an artist, but more importantly.. as a human being. This is where the magic happens as I'll teach you all the quirky, fun, and easy ways to come up with all kinds of content you can use! And by choosing the right ones that feel natural to you, but connect with the emotional drivers of your potential fans.. you'll attract them as potential listeners!

Forget what Instagram says about the best times to post. Those only work for certain types of content! In this exercise, you'll learn the best times to post what type of content, in order to work the algorithms and start attracting people the right way! It's not rocket science, it's actually playing into human behaviour!

The importance of evaluation

As important as checklists: evaluation! Especially when you're an artist juggling everything from songwriting, production, marketing, social media, rehearsals etc. With this evaluation, you'll find out what activities you feel comfortable with, and which ones you probably need help with!
